SAN ANTONIO, Texas (June 5, 2005) ? Thermo Electron Corporation introduces the LTQ Orbitrap?, a hybrid mass spectrometer offering superior performance for small molecule research, drug discovery, proteomics, metabolite identification, and metabolomics. The LTQ Orbitrap represents the first totally new mass analyzer to be introduced to the market in over 20 years.
Combining patented Orbitrap technology with the highly successful Finnigan? LTQ front-end, the LTQ Orbitrap enables faster, more sensitive and more reliable detection and identification of compounds in complex mixtures. Results demonstrate that its outstanding mass accuracy, mass resolution and routine, high-sensitivity MSn performance make it a clear alternative to existing hybrid Time-of-Flight systems.
The new LTQ Orbitrap will be on display at the 53rd ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics, San Antonio, Texas, June 5-9.
For more information about the LTQ Orbitrap, please visit the Thermo hospitality suite at ASMS, Marriott Rivercenter, Salon E. Alternatively, please call +1 800-532-4752 or e-mail analyze@thermo.com.
