Thermo Scientific heating block inserts for Reacti-Therm Heating/Stirring Modules.
Thermo Scientific Reacti-Block Aluminum Blocks are rectangular aluminum block reservoirs designed to hold different sizes and types of vials, test tubes and microcentrifuge tubes for effective sample incubations in Reacti-Therm Heating/Stirring Modules. The blocks are available in two different heights with variety of hole-sizes and configurations to match different types and sizes of vials, including Reacti-Vial Small Sample Vials and test tubes. The blocks are easily interchanged in single-block and triple-block Reacti-Therm Modules, providing for different scales and types of heated sample reactions using one instrument.
Product Detail
Reacti-Block Aluminum Blocks. Blocks are available with different numbers, sizes and configuration of well designed to accommodate specific types of vials and other glassware.
Reacti-Therm III Heating/ Stirring Module. Triple-block module containing three Reacti-Block Aluminum Blocks, several Reacti-Vial Small Reaction Vials and a compatible thermometer.
Highlights:
Interchangeable – all blocks have same footprint (7.5 x 9.4 cm = 3 x 3.25 inches) and can be placed in either single-block or triple-block Reacti-Therm Heating Modules
Uniform, stable heating – constructed of an aluminum alloy for optimal thermal conductivity
Thermometer-ready – integrated thermometer well (7.1 mm diameter x 36.5 mm deep) designed for use with Reacti-Therm Thermometer or other standard thermometer
Many configurations – hole sizes and configurations available for many types of reaction vessels (see Ordering Information and Related Products section below)
Customizable – Reacti-Blocks J and K contain no holes, allowing for custom drilling patterns
Evaporator-compatible – several configurations (Reacti-Blocks A1, B1, C1, M1, Q1, S1, T1, V1) have holes that align with ports of Reacti-Vap Evaporators when used with Reacti-Therm Heating/Modules
Applications:
General sample incubation and evaporation in a variety of tube and vial sizes
Silylation, alkylation and acylation derivatization reactions for GC sample preparation
Protein hydrolysis and vacuum hydrolysis reactions for amino acid analysis by HPLC
